Schema markup generator for rich results that still exist in 2026

Fill in a form and copy valid JSON-LD for Article, Organization, LocalBusiness, Product, Event, Recipe, JobPosting and more, or check any page’s structured data for syntax errors, missing required properties and retired types.

Article: better title, image and date display in Search and Discover. No properties are strictly required, but headline, image, dates and author make the markup useful. The author should be a real person (or organisation) with a profile URL. Google's documentation

At least 50K pixels; Google recommends 16×9, 4×3 and 1×1 versions.

Required for the rich result: Headline, Image URLs (one per line), Date published, Author name

JSON-LD
<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "Article"
}
</script>

Paste it into the page's <head> or body (WordPress: a "custom HTML" block, your SEO plugin's schema field, or a header-code plugin). Then confirm with Google's Rich Results Test. Only mark up what visitors can see on the page.

Structured data that still earns rich results

This generator only builds schema types that Google still shows as rich results or uses for site names, knowledge panels and profiles. Google has retired a lot of markup since 2023. How-to results were removed. FAQ results were limited to government and health sites in 2023 and stopped appearing altogether in May 2026. Course info, Estimated salary, Learning video, Special announcement, Vehicle listing and ClaimReview were phased out in 2025, Practice problem followed in January 2026, and Dataset markup now feeds only Dataset Search. Many generators still output those types. This one warns you instead.

How to use the generator

  1. Choose a type. The note under the menu says which rich result it can produce and links to Google’s documentation.
  2. Fill in the fields. Required ones are marked with *, and the panel on the right lists anything still missing.
  3. Copy the JSON-LD and add it to the page: in WordPress, a Custom HTML block, your SEO plugin’s schema settings, or a header-code plugin.
  4. Confirm with Google’s Rich Results Test after publishing, and mark up only what visitors can see on the page.

How to use the validator

Switch to Validate a page and enter a URL, or paste JSON-LD or HTML. The validator lists every JSON-LD block and item, reports JSON syntax errors (which make Google ignore the whole block), checks required and recommended properties for each supported type, flags retired types and self-serving review markup on LocalBusiness or Organization, and warns about relative URLs. It also counts Microdata and RDFa, which Google supports but this tool doesn’t validate. It’s a fast first pass, not a replacement for Google’s Rich Results Test, which renders JavaScript and has the final say.

Tips for each type

  • Organization and LocalBusiness: add them once, on the home or About page. Keep name, address and phone identical to your Google Business Profile; use +880, +91 or +92 country codes.
  • Article: include the author as a Person with a profile URL, plus datePublished and dateModified that match the dates on the page.
  • Product: needs offers, review or aggregateRating. Only mark up genuine customer reviews shown on the page.
  • Course: only the Course list carousel remains, which needs three or more courses on one summary page.
  • WebSite: use it for your site name. The sitelinks search box was retired in November 2024.

Frequently asked questions

Does schema markup improve rankings?

Not directly. Google uses structured data to understand pages and to decide eligibility for rich results, which can improve click-through. Google also says no special schema is needed for its AI features.

Should I remove my FAQ schema?

There is no penalty for keeping it, but it no longer produces FAQ rich results in Google Search. Keep the questions and answers on the page, since they still help readers and AI answers, and don’t spend time adding new FAQPage markup for rich results.

JSON-LD, Microdata or RDFa?

Google supports all three and recommends JSON-LD because it is easiest to add and maintain without touching your HTML.

Why doesn’t my valid markup show a rich result?

Valid markup makes a page eligible; Google decides whether to show the rich result based on quality, relevance and policies. Check Search Console’s enhancement reports for errors across the site.

Can I add several types to one page?

Yes. Use separate blocks or one @graph, and connect items with @id references, for example an Article whose publisher is your Organization.
